Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the boat ramp?
The main launch site for your charter is EG Simmons Park in Ruskin Fl. There are several other launch sites around Tampa Bay that we use depending on where you are staying, where the fish are, or the season.  Because the EG Simmons launch is conveniently located and provides access to many of the best fishing spots in Tampa Bay it is an ideal launch site.
What area will we fish?
The time of the year and the type of fish we are targeting will dictate where we fish.  It could be grass flats, tidal creeks, mangrove shorelines, shallow bays, or even inshore reefs.  Availability of bait and what the fish are feeding on will also determine the areas we fish as well.
Can I keep what we catch?
As long as the fish are in season and the proper size according to the Florida Wildlife Commissions regulations then yes you may take some fish home.
Can we bring our kids?
Inshore 2 Offshore Fishing Adventures is a family friendly business.  We love having kids on the boat.  There is nothing better than being there when a kid catches his/her first real fish.  We are in the business of making memories and love being a part of a special moment in a child’s life.
What should we bring?

No.  We take care of the fishing license and any pertinent stamps for you and your guests..
Can I bring a cooler?
There are two coolers on the boat one for your drinks and snacks.  We provide ice, water and sports drinks  However, you may bring a cooler to leave in your car if you want to bring home some fish.
Can we bring alcohol?
You may bring beer on your charter. However, hard liquor isn’t allowed on the boat.  Keep in mind that being impaired creates a dangerous situation on the water.  We ask that you limit the beer you take to a 12 pack or less.  For this reason the captain reserves the right to end the charter if a passengers is intoxicated.
Are we going to use lures or live bait?
Your charter includes live bait fresh caught that morning.  The most common bait used is white bait, what we call scaled sardines.  During certain times of the year your captain will also have live shrimp or frozen cut bait available.  Also provided are artificial baits of all types if you prefer to use them.  There are times when lures will out fish live baits.
How many people can you take on your boat?
Our boat fishes 4 anglers comfortably.  In the event that your party is larger than 4 people we can accommodate you.  There is no group too large for us to handle we have a large network of fellow captains and can offer multiple boats for your fishing trip.  In addition we offer corporate charters for large and small companies.  We provide trips tailored to client relations, private tournaments. employee appreciation, family reunions or charitable events.  Because no corporate charter is too small or too large  we can have one boat at the dock or as many as your event requires.
